Congrats to PSVBA 13-Mike for winning the PSR U13 Championship!  Our 13’s played great all weekend long and finishing undefeated at the Kitsap Pavilion!  Well done ladies!  Kudos to Coach Jessy, with Coach Mike attending the U18 Girls National Championships in Anaheim, she did a great job coaching the team!

… and Congrats to PSVBA 16-Pat for winning the PSR U16 Championship! Our 16’s have been the team to beat in the region and really battled against many of the other top U16 teams in the region this weekend.  With a huge target on our backs, the team played great and had some amazing comeback wins along the way!  Great job ladies!

Congrats to PSVBA17-Bobby for finishing 2nd in the PSR U17 Championship!  Kudos to PSVBA 15-Mackenzie, PSVBA 14-Jordyn, PSVBA 14-Li’i, and PS Intensity 14-Donja for getting to the Semi-Final and finishing 3rd overall in their respective age group and division at the PSR Championships!  Congrats to PSVBA 12-Donja for winning the PSR U12 Silver Bracket Final!

Congrats to PSVBA 18-Jess for finishing 1st Place in the Final PSR Power League Standings in the U18 division!  They have been the top U18 team to beat pretty much all season long!  Guess who finished 2nd?  Congrats to PSVBA 17-Bobby for finishing 2nd overall!  They finish as the highest ranked U17 team in the region!

Congrats to PSVBA 16-Pat for finishing 1st Place in the Final PSR Power League Standings in the U16 Division! Following in the path of our 17/18 teams – they also have been the top team to beat in the region! Kudos to PSVBA 16-Joe for finishing the season ranked #9 overall – giving PSVBA the distinction of being the only club to have 2 teams in the Top 10 for the highly competitive U18 & U16 & U15 age divisions! Well done!

Congratulations to PSVBA 13-Mike for finishing U14 PL as the highest ranked U13 team at 9th overall. And Congratulations to PSVBA 12-Donja for finishing 3rd overall in the U12 PL – they are going to be a tough team to deal with in the future with half the team able to play U12 again next season!

Here is how all our teams finished:

We had 8 teams competing over the second weekend of PNQ!  Many of our teams battled and unfortunately lost a couple of tough matches that dropped them out of contention, but overall a good showing for most of our teams!  Kudos to PS 12-Donja for finishing 5th overall and in the GOLD flight of the U12 American Division!  Definitely a fun bunch to watch!  Both 12-Donja and 16-Joe went undefeated on Day 1, while 13-Mike went undefeated the last two days of the tournament on their way to winning the Bronze flight.

Although we didn’t come home with any hardware this year at the PNQ, we had a respectable showing with our older teams!  Great Job PS 17-Bobby for finishing 5th overall and in the GOLD flight of the U17 USA division and a 6-1 record for the tournament.  Nice job to PS 16-Pat for finishing 9th in the 16 Open division, and pulling out a very exciting come from behind 3rd set win and winning the Silver Flight on Day 3.

PS 12-Donja – UNDEFEATED IN PL#3!

Kudos to our youngest competition team!  They found themselves finishing 1st and undefeated in the power league this past weekend.  They truly are a fun bunch of girls to watch play!

Tough weekend for PS18’s after cruising through pool play and the first round of the playoffs lost in the semi-finals against SIVBC and saw chances for a bid slip away in the third set.  The 18s bounced back in the consolation match against KJ to finish 3rd in the Bid tournament – now have to shift focus to getting a bid at PNQ.

Our first year at the Triple Crown Championships was a great one.  This was such a well run tournament filled with great competition in every match we played.  Most all of our teams competed well over the three day tournament.  Kudos to PS 16-Pat becoming the only team from the Puget Sound Region to move into the Elite division at the Triple Crown Championships in Salt Lake City.

We had another strong showing this weekend overall! We had 7 Puget Sound teams win their pools to reach the Championship match of their bracket this weekend! Congrats 18Jess, 18Kepa, 17Bobby, 16Pat, 16Jessy, 15Rod, and 14Donja! … and even had an “ALL PUGET SOUND” Final in the TOP U18 GOLD Division between PS 18-Jess and PS 17-Bobby… both teams are now the Top 2 Ranked U18 teams in the Region! We also had 9 Puget Sound teams that will move up a flight or stay in the very top flight of their division. Special CONGRATS to 18Jess, 17Bobby and 16Pat for earning one of only 4 available spots each in the U18 & U16 PLATINUM League… Puget Sound is the only club in the region that has more than one team headed to the PLATINUM LEAGUE!…and this will be our 2nd consecutive year we have qualified (3) PLATINUM teams! Great job to our families, players, coaches and teams – the fantastic part about all this… is our teams are all just getting started and we will only get better from here! Keep up all the great work!

PSVBA had a great showing over the MLK weekend all over the Pacific Northwest! Congratulations to 14-Jordyn for winning the WVBA MLK 14 Open Championship! Congratulations to 14-Tom for winning the WVBA MLK 14 Club Championship! Kudos to 12-Donja for playing awesome & finishing 3rd in the NWJR U12 MLK Tournament! Congratulations to 18-Jess for playing in the Championship at the Matt Hartner Memorial U18 Open Tournament in Eugene – 2nd out of 108 teams is awesome! Kudos to 17-Bobby for getting to the U18 Gold C Bracket Final (Finishing 16th Overall)! Congratulations to 16-Pat for winning the Matt Hartner Memorial U16 Open Tournament – 1st out of 128 teams is pretty awesome too! Kudos to ALL our teams that competed well over the weekend!! – What a GREAT Start to a promising 2018 Club Season!
